Mr. Richard Scott Sapp, 69, of Cumming, passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at Northside Forsyth Hospital following extended heart-related issues.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 29, 2022 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Drewery Loggins will officiate. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
Born on September 5, 1952 in Dalton, GA, he was the son of the late William M. Sapp, Jr. and the late Doris Richard Sapp LaFrenier. Mr. Sapp was retired from Turbo Transport where he worked in Logistics. Mr. Sapp was an alumni of Emory University and was of the Catholic faith. He was a history buff and connoisseur of barbeque.
Mr. Sapp is survived by his wife, Ginny Fulmer Sapp of Cumming; daughter, Kimberly Brown of Dawsonville; son, Justin Brown (LeeAnn) of Dawsonville; grandchildren, Ayla Brown, Canyon Brown; brother, Bill Sapp (Lynn) of Marietta; sister, Judy Popper of KS; niece, Kassie Popper of KS and a host of other friends and relatives.
