Jerry Truman Blackwell

Mr. Jerry Truman Blackwell, age 73, of Homer, GA died Monday, January 24, 2022 at Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center.  Mr. Blackwell was born in Dahlonega to the late Robert and Nellie Lance Blackwell.  He was retired from Over and Under Construction and was a member of Single Action Shooting Society (SASS).  In addition to his parents, Mr. Blackwell was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Blackwell, Jr.

Mr. Blackwell is survived by his wife, Kay McClain Blackwell of Homer; son, Jerry Blackwell, Jr. of Lawrenceville; daughter, Claudia Jackson of Lawrenceville; sisters, Dorothy Brantley of Rockmart and Shirley Sims of Whitesburg; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 11 AM, Friday, January 28 at the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Dyer officiating.  Interment will follow at 1:30 PM in Garden of Memories, 151 Garden of Memories Road, Belton, SC 29627.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 4 to 8 PM.
