David Thatcher, Sr.

David Thatcher, Sr., age 73, of Dahlonega, Georgia passed away on January 21, 2022. He is preceded in death by his parents: Jane and John Thatcher, Sr. and his brother: John Thatcher, Jr.

David is survived by his wife of 52 years: Karen Thatcher; children: David Carl Thatcher, Jr. of Dawsonville, GA, Stephanie Lawson (Todd) of Marietta, GA, Jennifer Stanley of Braselton, GA, Travis Thatcher (Jennifer) of Brookhaven, GA, Amanda Tucker (Eddie) of Kennesaw, GA and Ashley Gorman (Timothy) of Fort Belvoir, VA; sister: Sandra Smith of St. Louis, MO; 15 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

David was an avid outdoorsman and sports fanatic. He loved hunting and fishing. He coached youth football for many years at Stone Mountain and Gwinnett Football League.

David retired from Bargain Bruswig Drug Company after a number of years as a Financial Representative.

The family will hold a memorial service at a later date.
