Darthy Ann Garrison Hix

Mrs. Darthy Ann Garrison Hix, age 82, of Commerce, GA died Friday, January 21, 2022 at Beehive of Gainesville.  Mrs. Hix was born in Commerce to the late Thurston and Lissie Burke Garrison.  She was a member of First Baptist Church of Commerce and retired from Commerce City Schools as a secretary to the superintendent.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hix was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Griffin Hix; son, Keith Hix; and brother, Don Garrison.

Mrs. Hix is survived by her daughter, Lisa Maddox of Athens; son, Scott Hix of Bristol, VA; brother, David Garrison of Cornelia; grandchildren, Peyton Maddox, Madison Maddox, Caleb Jordan, Britney Bullard, Cole Hix, Aaron Hix and Hannah Hix; and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 PM, Monday, January 24 at the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with Dr. Carlton Allen officiating.  Private interment will follow in Grey Hill Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Association of Georgia, 41 Perimeter Center E #550, Atlanta, GA 30346.
