Arbra Laverne Law

Arbra Laverne Law was born September 21, 1929, the only child of the late Nellie Bell Thompson and Howard Rucker in Gainesville, Georgia. She departed this life on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at her residence following a short illness. Laverne joined First Baptist Church at an early age. She served as an usher and was a member of the Senior's Mission. She volunteered her services to the Lighthouse Manor Advisory Board until her health began to decline. Mrs. Law is a graduate of Fair street School and was united in holy matrimony to William Howard (Zip) Law in 1951. Laverne was preceded in death by her parents and husband in 2009 after 60 years of marriage. She leaves to cherish her memories her children, Arbra (Johnny) Prather, Pamela (Patrick) Wilson and Pandora Law; Grandchildren, Paloma Childs and Trampus Freize; brother-in-law's, Lovett (Lucille) Law and George (Rachel) Law of Commerce, Georgia; Sister-in-Law, Sammie Sue Rucker of Commerce, Georgia; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The visitation for Mrs. Law will be Wednesday, January 26th at Wimberly Funeral Home between the hours of 12-8pm. Mrs. Law's Celebration of Life will be Thursday, January 27th at the hour of 1pm at First Baptist Church. Professional Service Entrusted to Wimberly Funeral Home.
