CELEBRATION OF LIFE - MONTINE LOMAX ROBERTS, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great- grandmother.

Montine Lomax Roberts, 84 years of age of Gainesville, Georgia, went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 14, 2022 at Northeast Ga Medical Center following an extended illness. Born October 24, 1937. Montine was the youngest of 8 children born to David Cleveland Lomax and Melrose Holland Lomax. She graduated with the Class of 1955 from Riverbend High School, Gainesville, GA.

Shortly after graduation Montine married her beloved an devoted husband, James Franklin Roberts, Jr. Their 62 year marriage produced three children: James Michael ( Mike),
Teresa Diane and David Franklin Roberts. All three children brought love, fun and excitement to the family, and they all shared a strong love for their precious mother. Montine was a devoted stay at home mother, joyfully providing carpool, attending all the children’s activities and cooking a full breakfast each morning. She is famous for her biscuits and gravy and banana pudding, which her children and their friends still talk about today. Montine was grateful for a hardworking husband that allowed her to be a homemaker, and she made sure the three children engaged in school, church and community activities. Later in life, Montine was blessed with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved having them in her home and keeping up with all their activities.

When Facebook became popular, she enjoyed her daughter Diane sharing posts of life events of her grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Montine was lovingly known by her family members as Teeny, Honey, Mama, Mother, Grandma and Gigi. Montine is survived by her husband, James Roberts, who honored his vow to love her through sickness and health throughout their marriage as he cared for her over the last years.
