Margaret Burt Kennedy

Margaret Burt Kennedy, 87 of Dawsonville, GA passed away peacefully at her residence on Saturday, January 15, 2022.  She was born in Dawsonville, GA to the late Edwin and Ganell Burt.  She was a member of Dawsonville Baptist Church.  Margaret loved to read, do crossword puzzles, watch sports, and travel. But most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren and family.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Brock Kennedy, Sr.

She is survived by her children, Judy K. Mercure of Kennesaw, GA, Jack and Stacy Kennedy of Canton, GA, Jay and Deborah Kennedy of Jackson, GA, Jane and Jeff DeMoss of Dawsonville, GA; 9 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; sisters, Geneva Bearden of Dawsonville, GA, Evelyn King of Dawsonville, GA; and numerous other relatives.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 20, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel, Dawsonville, GA, with the Rev. Cory Gilleland officiating.  Interment will follow the funeral at Mableton Memorial Gardens, Mableton, GA.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. and again on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
