Vernon Eugene Lovell, age 75, of Cleveland, passed away on Thursday, January 13, 2022.
Mr. Lovell was born on April 14, 1946, in Cleveland, Georgia, to the late Elijah Fay Lovell and Bonnie Priest Lovell. Vernon was a 1963 graduate of White County High School and worked as a prison guard at Lee Arrendale State Prison. Mr. Lovell was a veteran of the United States Army. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 39 years, Miriam Lovell; and sisters, Virginia Cash and Helen Farmer.
Survivors include his daughters, Dana Lovell (Bradley Jones), Gainesville, and Tabitha Gonzalez (Danny), Cleveland; grandchildren, Kay Smallwood (Andrew), Kinsley Anderson (Joey), Bryson Jones, and Katie Anderson; great-grandchildren, Maci Smallwood, Ella Smallwood, Dray Smallwood, Faye Smallwood, and Sophia Auffdermaur; sisters, Debbie and Bruce Brady, and Kathy and Jeff Wrenn; brothers, Guy and Iva Lovell, Garry and Teresa Lovell, and Garland and Judy Lovell; companion, Ruth McCollum; numerous nieces, nephews, and adopted children also survive.
Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 15, 2022, at The Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Paul Flynn will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home, prior to the memorial service.
