Mrs. Frances Hickman Mealor, age 88 of Fieldale Road, Toccoa passed away Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at the Oaks at Scenic View in Baldwin, Georgia.
A daughter of the late Clarence and Omie Wells Hickman, she was born June 6, 1933 in Franklin County, Georgia having lived most of her life in Stephens County. She was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church where she had served as a Children’s Sunday School Leader. She enjoyed her wood working hobby. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James P. “Pete” Mealor and by a brother, Ed Hickman.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Ann and Russell Shirley and Gail and Bobby Pritchett both of Toccoa; son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Judy Mealor of Toccoa; grandchildren, Anna (Larry) Cunningham, Jamie “Buck” (Natasha) Mealor, Lindy (Jason) Grafton, Wesley Pritchett, Adam (Eleanor) Shirley and Hannah (Logan) Roberts; fourteen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; sister, Faye Hall of Toccoa.
Funeral services will be Friday, January 14, 2022, 3 O’clock p.m. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend David Sosebee officiating. Grandchildren and great-grandchildren will serve as pallbearers, Jamie Mealor, Wesley Pritchett, Adam Shirley, Hunter Bennett, Kale Mealor, Kegan Mealor, Jacob Grafton ad Ethan Roberts.
