Milissa Luck Spayde

Milissa Luck Spayde, 55, of Buford, GA, went to be with the Lord on January 10, 2022 surrounded by family and friends. Milissa is survived by her daughter, Lacy Brewer Spayde of Atlanta, GA, mother, Yvonne English Luck of Diamondhead, MS, and brother, Leon E. Luck III of Vancleave, MS. She is preceded in death by her father, Leon E. Luck Jr., and grandparents, Leon E. Luck Sr., May Luck, Lacy English, and Margaret English.

Milissa was born on April 16, 1966 in Myrtle Beach, SC. She was a 1984 graduate of Ocean Springs High School in Ocean Springs, MS where she was a member of the drill team and passionate about dance. Milissa was also a 1990 graduate of The University of Mississippi where she was a proud member of her sorority, Pi Beta Phi. Milissa had a long career in healthcare working in organizations located in Jackson, MS, New Orleans, LA, Baton Rouge, LA, and Houston, TX. Most recently, she served as Director of Health Information Management at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, GA. 

Milissa loved to travel and spend time with family and friends. She was strong willed, independent, and a caring mother, daughter, and friend to many. 

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, January 15th from 3pm to 7pm for friends and family to gather, remember and honor Milissa located at Tannery Row Ale House in Buford, Georgia.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
