Richard “Rick” Lee Tomei, Sr.

Mr. Richard “Rick” Lee Tomei, Sr. 78 of Gainesville, passed away Monday, January 10, 2022 at his residence following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 13, 2022 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Father Mark Starr will officiate. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.

Born on April 23, 1943 in Elwood City, PA, he was the son of the late Adolph and Barbara Skupnik Tomei. Mr. Tomei was retired from the Construction industry where he owned his business, R.L. Tomei Associates. Mr. Tomei was a proud veteran of the United States Navy.

Mr. Tomei is survived by his wife, Barbara Tomei of Gainesville; sons and daughters in law, Rick and Robin Tomei of Charlotte, NC, Mark and Debbie Tomei of Salisbury, NC, Scott Tomei and fiancé Pei of Lenoir, TN; daughter, Terri Armstrong of MD; grandson, Jessy and Kelly Williams of Gainesville; 7 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; brothers and sisters in law, Andy and Angie Tomei, Scott Tomei, Mark and Lisa Tomei, Brad Tomei and a number of nieces, nephews and other loving relatives.
