Anthony (Tony) Charles Allen, age 81 of Athens, GA passed away on Monday, January 10, 2022.
Born on March 26, 1940 in Sidcup, Kent England, Mr. Allen was the son of the late Charles Thomas and Dorothy Nellie Anderson Allen. He was an Engineer Manager with J&M Laboratories and was a corporal for 6 years in the British Army. He was preceded in death by a sister, Pamela Dorothy Allen Shore.
Survivors include his wife, Wyonia Allen of the home; son, Martin Anthony Allen; daughters, Bonita Christal Burden, Sandra Gerrin Vanzo; brother, Peter John Allen; sister, Barbara Joan Allen Oxlade; 12 grandchildren; and a multitude of great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 2 pm Friday, Jan. 14, 2022 at Ivie Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Chad Rising and Rev. Timothy Gerrin officiating. Burial will follow in Blacks Creek Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 12 pm until the funeral hour Friday at the funeral home.
