John Marion Kidd

Mr. John Marion Kidd, 81, of Gainesville, passed away Saturday, January 8, 2022 at his residence.

Per Mr. Kidd’s request no services will be held.

Born on December 3, 1940 in Gainesville, he was the son of the late David and Annie Mae Porter Kidd. He was retired from the post Office where he was a mail carrier. Mr. Kidd was a proud veteran of the United States Army and of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Kidd is preceded in death by his brother, O’Dell Kidd.

Mr. Kidd is survived by his wife of 62 years, Barbara Kidd of Gainesville; daughters and sons in law, Janet and Rusty Lovell of Gainesville, Teresa O’Kelley of Mt. Airy, GA, Suzanne and Randy Powell of Gainesville; grandson, Michael John and Amy Lovell of Dacula; granddaughters, Jennifer and Tony Fountain of Gainesville, Jessica and David Osmond of Buford, Shelly and Jep Pound of Greensboro, GA; grandson, Lance and Wendi Martin of Gainesville; great-grandchildren, Ethan, Luke, Harper, Mabel, Andrew, Hannah, Eva, Bo, McKenna, Luke, Jack, Maddie Grace; brother in law and sister in law, Terry and Carolyn Echols and a number of other loving relatives.
