Gladys Ivey Cagle Cornell

Mrs. Gladys Ivey Cagle Cornell, 88, of Gainesville passed away January 1, 2022 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 8, 2022 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Ruell Martin and Rev. Charles Shadburn will officiate.  The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral home on Saturday, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Born on May 13, 1933 in Forsyth County, GA, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Ivey and the late Josie Smith Ivey. She was a housewife and a member of Hopewell Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cornell is preceded in death by her first husband, Harold Cagle; daughter, Judy Bennett; brothers, Emmett Ivey, Braskin Ivey, Lendon Ivey, Eugene Ivey and second husband, Francis Cornell.

Mrs. Cornell is survived by her daughters, Brenda Cagle of Gainesville, Pamela Cagle Strickland of Gainesville; son and daughter in law, Tony and Cheryl Cagle of Gainesville; son in law, Wendell Bennett of Cumming; grandchildren, Jill Bostic, Ron Reeves, Kasey Martin (Shawna), Kagney Strickland, Korey Strickland (Brittney), Kristen Strickland, Teresa Pullin (Rocky), Jessica Robertson (Thomas), Jeremy Gazaway (Sara), Jamie Bennett (Michelle), Samantha Cassell (Mark); 20 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; sister in law, Marie Ivey of Cumming and a number of other loving relatives.
