Jamey Conred Whitlock

Mr. Jamey Conred Whitlock, age 46 of Gainesville, passed away on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following his courageous battle with cancer.

Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday, January 2, 2022 at 3:30 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home.  Reverend David Simpson will officiate.  The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 2, 2022 from 12:30 pm – 3:30 pm, prior to the service, at the funeral home.  Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, 1462 Armstrong Ford Road, Belmont, North Carolina 28012, on Monday, January 3, 2022 at 2:00 pm.

Mr. Whitlock was born December 31, 1974 in Gainesville, Georgia to the late Swayne Whitlock and Shirley Ann Chastain Whitlock.  He was employed with Zaxby’s in Gainesville, as a Guest Advocate. Jamey attended Lanier Christian Church and was active in Special Olympics sports, including Bowling, Swimming, Bocce, and Kayaking.

Mr. Whitlock is survived by his siblings, Shirley & David Shuler of Gainesville and Shane & Brittany Whitlock of Gastonia, North Carolina.  A number of nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
