Paul Anthony (Tony) Edmonds

Paul Anthony (Tony) Edmonds of Gainesville, Ga. passed away on December 29, 2021 following an extended illness.

Tony was born January 8, 1948 and was a native and lifetime resident of Hall County and he was preceded in death by his mother and father, J.B. Edmonds and Juanita Patton McDonald; his wife, Vicki Peeples Allen Edmonds and his ex wife, Linda Wilson Edmonds.

Tony was a successful businessman and entrepreneur. He was best known for being one of the owners of several popular establishments such as Knickers Restaurant in Gainesville, Greenwood S.C. and La Grange. Also, The Downtowner Restaurant in Gainesville, Cactus Cafe in Gainesville and The Gourmet Bird, a poultry processing plant in Dawsonville, and founder of Northside Bottle Shop.

Tony is survived by his 2 sisters, Marsha Edmonds Bell and Stephanie McDonald Sartain and brother in law, Perry M. Sartain, all of Gainesville and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his 3 daughters, Elizabeth (Betsy) Hardin, Mary (Ginger) Mohammed, Emily Catherine Edmonds all of Gainesville, stepdaughter Amy Allen Barton of Oxford, MS and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at Little and Davenport Funeral Home at a future date.

In lieu of flowers donations are requested by the family to be made to an Alzheimers & Dementia Diseases foundation in the hopes of finding a cure.
