Alicia Von Galphin of Gainesville, Ga. peacefully passed away on December 29, 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on December 9, 1966 at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, Ga. to Margy Von Xander and Robert Donald Xander. Alicia went to Norcross High School in Norcross, Ga. She worked for Avantor (fka VWR International) for 18 years where she developed many friendships with her colleagues.
Alicia is survived by her husband of almost 38 years, Scot Andrew Galphin Sr., and their three children Brittani Galphin Anderson (Damon), Scot Andrew Galphin Jr. (Erin), and Morgan Von Provost (Garrett). She had seven grandchildren that she absolutely adored, Grant (10), Brock (8), Brody (8), Griffin (6), Chloe (4), Brett (4), and Alden (1). She is also survived by her sister, Pia Von Xander.
Besides spending time with her family and friends, Alicia enjoyed traveling, reading books, solving puzzles or playing games, taking naps, shopping, and caring for her dog Murphy. Alicia had a bright and energetic personality and was known for always putting others before herself. She touched many lives with her generosity, smile, contagious laugh, and passion for life. She loved her family and friends so much.
Friends and family are invited to attend a visitation from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Friday January 7, 2022, with A Celebration of Life service on Friday January 7, 2022 at 3:00p.m. at the Little-Davenport Funeral Home located at 355 Dawsonville Hwy, Gainesville, Ga. 30501.
