Joseph Michael Giglio

Joseph Michael Giglio, 81, of Toccoa, Georgia passed away in Gainesville, Georgia on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 following a short illness.

A son of the late Joseph James Giglio and Lily Romano Giglio, he was born January 9, 1940 in Paterson, New Jersey. He was a retired teacher, from New Jersey and proud of his Italian heritage. He was one of a kind, was fun, interesting, curious, a force of nature and irrepressible. It was always hard to know what Joe would say next - outrageous, loud, amazing, but (almost) always entertaining. In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his loving wife, Sarah Byrd.

Joe will be missed terribly by his family, Lora, Chad, Marisa (Jason), Matt (Kylie), Meredith (Alex), Madison, Alex, Willa, Brook, Theresa, Elijah, Ayanna, and many cousins and friends throughout the country, including Connie and Jerrell.

The family will have a private memorial at a later date.
