Mercer Gene Peavy

Mr. Mercer Gene Peavy, age 69, of Commerce, GA died Monday, December 27, 2021 at Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center.  Mr. Peavy was born in Atlanta to the late Murcer and Mildred Mann Peavy.  He was a truck driver.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Peavy was preceded in death by his brother, Dwayne Peavy; and sister, Carolyn Anderson.

Mr. Peavy is survived by his wife, Debra Humphries Peavy of Commerce; children, Amanda Peavy (Shane Houze) of Commerce, Brandie Triplett (Gregg) of Jefferson, Steven Peavy of Commerce, Danny Oliver of Commerce, Terry Peavy of Loganville and Shane Peavy of TN; brothers, Doug Peavy (Debbie) of Duluth and Terry Peavy of Cannon; sisters, JoAnn Evans of Winder and Jeanette Croteau of Commerce; 22 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren

Funeral services will be at 12 PM, Thursday, December 30 at the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home.  Interment will follow in East Shadow Lawn Memorial Garden.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 10 to 12 PM.
