Billy “George” Tallant of Cumming passed away Friday, December 24, 2021. Born November 10, 1946 in Forsyth County to the late Thomas Ingram and Ruby Tallant, George was the greatest husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was a man with a big heart of gold. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Michael Tallant; daughter, Michele Mullins; brothers, Hoover Tallant, Harold Tallant, Alford Tallant, Toy Tallant, Henley Tallant; sisters, Mildred McIver, Ruth McBrayer, Betty Wheeler.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Sue Tallant; children, Bobby Tallant, Deanne (Curt) Isbell, Tommy (Kimber) Tallant, Crissie Tatum, Scott (Tina) Pass, Debbie Sue Sams; grandchildren, Drew (Ashlee) Nichols, Jessica Atwood, Renee Mauldin, Joey Atwood, Jerry Scott, Cale (Felicia) Tallant, Anna Scott, Zachary Sams, Cody Sams, Hunter Sams, Taylor Ridings, Justin Pass, Brittany Lunsford, Terry Pass, Brandy Tallant, J.T. Tallant, Grace Chester, Sara Alford, Perry Alford, Michael Mullins; 12 great grandchildren; brothers-in-law, Lamar Wheeler, Gene McBrayer; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ricky and Barbara Sanders; sister-in-law, Janice Tallant; a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Monday, January 3, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Eddie Caine and Rev. Randy Roper officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from12:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
