Anthony Scott Pethel

Mr. Anthony Scott Pethel, age 58, of Flowery Branch passed away Sunday, December 26, 2021 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center – Braselton, surrounded by his family, following an extended illness. 

Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 30, 2021 in the Chapel of Memorial Park South Funeral Home with interment following at Memorial Park South Cemetery.  Rev. Mike Williams and Ken Pethel will officiate.  The family will receive friends 12:00 – 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 30, 2021 at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.

Mr. Pethel was born May 29, 1963 to the late Alton & Lula Pethel in Gainesville.  An avid Antique Car enthusiast, he attended Grace Baptist Church and was a manager at Mitsubishi Electronics.

Mr. Pethel is survived by his wife, Tina Pethel of Flowery Branch; son & daughter-in-law, Greg & Whitney Pethel of Braselton; daughter, Emily Pethel of Flowery Branch; granddaughter, Lillie Pethel; siblings, Glenn & Jeanie Pethel of Bethlehem, Kenneth & Debrah Pethel of Gainesville, Steve & Charlotte of Gainesville, Mike & Kathy Pethel of Gainesville, Carolyn & Ron Tipton of Winder, Caroldean Childers of Gainesville and Christy & Stephen Kent of Flowery Branch; and several nieces & nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Diabetes Association, 233 Peachtree Street, Suite 2225, Atlanta, Georgia 30303.
