Betty Wood Woody

Mrs. Betty Wood Woody, age 87 of Gainesville, passed away on Sunday, December 26, 2021 at Bell Minor Nursing Home.

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at Oakwood City Cemetery. Mr. Joe Booth will officiate. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.

Mrs. Woody was born April 2, 1934 to the late Taylor & Blanche Wood in Clarksville, Georgia. She was a member of First Baptist Church Oakwood.

She is survived by her daughter & Son-in-law, Sandra & Joe Booth; granddaughter & husband, Jennifer & Adam Tucker; great-grandchildren, Ethan Tucker & Eli Tucker; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Theo Woody; sons, Randall “Randy” Taylor Woody, John Thomas “Tommy” Woody, & Richard Scott Woody; 4 brothers; and 1 sister.
