Timothy W. 'Tim' Tatum

Timothy W. “Tim” Tatum, 64, of Dawsonville passed away Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at his residence.

Born October 3, 1957 in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Lennon and Patricia Tatum, he had lived in Dawson County having moved from Washington State.  Mr. Tatum was formerly employed by the Dawson County School System.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family and friends.  A member of Pleasant Union Baptist Church, he was also preceded in death by his brother in love, Tim Morgan, and a sister in love, Connie Lou Tinsley.

Surviving are his wife of 24 years, Donnie Dew Tatum, Dawsonville; children, Patty and Isaac Barnes, Dawsonville, Tim “Scooter” Tatum and Keena Queen, Oakwood, Lacey Tatum, Hall County, Israel Tatum, Dawsonville; sister, Cynthis Kay Morgan, Black Mountain, NC; brother and sister in law, Lennon A. and Mary Anne Knowles Tatum, Copperas Cove, TX; grandchildren, Megan Welch, Kaine and Kristina Barnes, Meriah Medlin, Drew Barnes, Haley Barnes, Dakota Barnes, Emily Barnes, Ashlynn Barnes, Destin Tatum, Koen Tatum, and Landin Hanke.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at 2 o’clock at Pleasant Union Baptist Church.  Rev. Steve Chadwick, Rev. Jimmy Wehunt, Rev. Joshua Mulkey, Rev. Chris White, and Rev. Steve Chapman will officiate.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Monday, December 27, 2021 from 3 until 8 at the funeral home.
