Gene (Doodle) Kiser, age 74, entered the gates of heaven on December 21, 2021. He was born and raised in Ganesville, Georgia. He was the son of the late Otis W. and Annie Grace McIntyre Kiser. He was retired from Conpac South where he worked in sales. In addition to his parents, Mr. Gene Kiser is preceded in death by his brothers, Mike Kiser, Bill Kiser, sister, Jackye Kiser Murphy, step daughter Theresa Ann O’Kelley Summers.
He was a Christian and devoted every Sunday morning from 7:30 am to 1:00 pm watching and listening to the Word of God. He was a media member of Cornerstone Church, pastored by John Hagee. Gene never met a stranger. He was loved by everyone with his funny and cheerful sense of humor. He was an avid football player in high school (GHS) and loved watching football (Georgia Tech) and cooking out with his grandchildren. He passionately loved his wife, children and grandchildren and adored every minute with them.
Gene was a chartered member of the Lanier Shriners Club (Lodge 219). He worked hard to help raise money for the children of Shriners Hospital.
Gene’s love lives on through the memories of Gennell O’Kelley Kiser, his wife, daughter, Sandi Ferguson (Bob) of Cornelia, son Jeff Kiser of Gainesville and step son Jeffrey O’Kelley (Danette) of Hoschton, grandchildren Rob, Sam and Ben Ferguson, Jeffery Kiser and Madi Grace Kiser, Jessi Kiser, brothers Joe Kiser (Gayle) of Hartwell, Jim Kiser (Rita) of Maysville, Gerald Kiser (Helen) of Gainesville, sister Judy Thomsen (Kirk) of Gainesville.
I would like to thank my sister, Patricia Doss and Gene’s sister, Judy and her husband Kirk Thomsen for their tireless effort in helping me in my time of need.
Memorial services will be will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 30, 2021 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Boone Strickland and Rev. Bobby Griffin will officiate. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Thursday December 30, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Per the family's request, MASKS are required.
