Rebecca Ann (Croom) Turpin

Rebecca Ann (Croom) Turpin, age 58 went home to be with the Lord following an illness. She passed away on December 19, 2021 at Northeast Georgia Medical with her loved ones surrounding her. 

Rebecca was born on November 18, 1963 to the late James and Sara Croom in Decatur Ga. She was a native to Georgia and spent most of her life around the Metro Atlanta area before moving to the North Georgia Mountains. She loved the mountain life what she called “a breath of fresh air”. She loved seeing all the wild life and especially cows. 

Rebecca was a strong woman that didn’t give up easy and stood for what she believed in. Anyone that knew her would say that her greatest love was for her family, friends and especially her grandchildren; who she was known to as “Granny Becky”. “Granny Becky” was the type of grandmother that would do without just to see her grandbabies happy and taken care of. She loved all 15 grandchildren with all her heart. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Penny Shepard and the love of her life Stephen Brown. 

She is survived by a brother, Mark Croom; her children, Nicholas Hill, Jason Pratt, Stephen Pratt, and Travis Brown; and 15 grandchildren. Numerous other friends and family also survive. 

A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday December 23, 2021 at 2pm at The Edge Church Cemetery located at 4115 Price Road Gainesville Georgia 30506.
