Mrs. Helen Frasier Scruggs, age 71 of Martin, Georgia passed away Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at St. Mary’s Sacred Heart Hospital in Athens, Georgia.
A daughter of the late Harmon and Della Arlene Smallwood Frasier, she was born November 25, 1950 in Gwinnett County, Georgia having lived most of her life in Stephens County. She loved her grandchildren, softball, the Braves, Falcons and Georgia Bulldogs and loved working outside in her flowers. She was a member of the Eastanollee Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Cheryl Scruggs and by two brothers, Frank and Jimmy Frasier.
Survivors include her husband of the home, Luther “Tommy” Scruggs; daughter, Melisa Dean of Martin; grandchildren, Dana Miller and Anna and Nick Thomas; great-grandchildren, Emmitt Rider, Kaden Rider, Landon Payne, Nicholas Thomas, Lincoln Thomas and Lennox Thomas; sister-in-law, Theresa Frasier; a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Thursday, December 23, 2021, 11 O’clock a.m. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Scott Sweatman and Mr. Michael Mcdaniel officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Jeff Stewart, Matt Frasier, Nick Thomas, Jonathan Stewart, Wayne Mealor, David Thomason and Michael Mcdaniel.
The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Thursday from 9 a.m. until the service time. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.acree-davisfh.com.
Interment will follow in the Stephens Memorial Gardens with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Helen Frasier Scruggs.
