Miriam Gilmore Blackwell

Mrs. Miriam Gilmore Blackwell, age 89, of Homer, GA died Saturday, December 18, 2021 at Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center.  Mrs. Blackwell was born in East Point to the late, Rev. Rolfe H. and Beulah Hencely Gilmore.  She was a retired school teacher in the Banks County School System.

Mrs. Blackwell is survived by her husband, Bobby Blackwell of Homer; son, Robert “Bob” Blackwell of Homer; and sister, Betty Pippin of East Point.

Funeral services will be at 2 PM, Monday, December 27 at the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with Mr. Dennis McCall officiating.  Interment will follow at Hill Family Cemetery for family and close friends only.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 1 to 2 PM.
