Karen Jean Smallwood

Mrs. Karen Jean Smallwood, age 56, of Dahlonega, Georgia passed away on Sunday, December 19, 2021. She was born on November 6, 1965, in Hall County to Benny Smallwood and Ola Martin Smallwood. Karen always enjoyed being outdoors and always kept an amazing garden. Above all, she enjoyed being with family, especially working with her father, Benny. 

Karen is preceded in death by her sister, Sharon Christy and granddaughter, Neela Ann Ayala.

She is survived by her parents, Benny (Ellen) Smallwood and Ola Smallwood; children, Jennifer Grizzle and Michael Dixon; sister, Carol Adams; and granddaughter, Aaliyah Grizzle, all of Dahlonega. Numerous other relatives and friends also survive. 

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 21, 2021, in the chapel of Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home with Rev. James Kanaday officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until the service hour.
