Thadious Alaska “Bo” Garland, Jr.

Mr. Thadious Alaska “Bo” Garland, Jr. age 83, of Rivioli Point, Westminster, SC, passed away Friday, December 17, 2021 at his home.

 A son of the late Thadious Alaska “Nub” Garland, Sr. and Eula Brown Garland Ferguson, he was born March 19, 1938 in Franklin, NC having lived most of his life in Stephens and Oconee County.  He was an Army Veteran and a pipeline welder for a number of years and was owner/operator of Bo’s Country Club and was of the Baptist faith.  He was preceded in death by his parents: Thad “Nub” and Eula Garland and by his brother: Richard F. “Bucky” Garland.

Survivors include two nieces: Lisa Chatham and Milly (Bob) Longmire, a sister-in-law: Nell Kesler Garland, two great nephews: Rhett Longmire and Faite Chathm and a great niece Emrys Longmire, special friends: Jason and Christi Bramlett, Steve and Lanie Hughes and Janelle Hart.

Funeral services will be 3:30 PM, Sunday, December 19, 2021 at the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with Mr. Bob Longmire officiating.

The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Sunday, December 19, 2021 from 1 PM until 3:30 PM.

The following will serve as pallbearers: Tommy Cordell, Paul Dilly, Robert Garland, Keith Means, Bryan Kesler and Kevin Garland.

Graveside Military Honors will be conducted by the V.F.W. Post 4346 and by the Georgia National Guard.  The Reverend Jerrell Beatty in charge of graveside service.

Interment will be in the Stephens Memorial Gardens with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory in charge of arrangements for Mr. “Bo” Garland.
