Mrs. Phyllis Jean Cochran Edmonds, age 96 of Harris Street, Toccoa passed away Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at Clemson Downs Care Center in Pickens, South Carolina.
A daughter of the late Will I. Cochran and Flora Scheagle Cochran, she was born July 31, 1925 in Indianapolis, Indiana have lived most of her life in Toccoa. She taught school at Stephens County High School for a number of years. She was a member of Toccoa Presbyterian Church and the Tab Lawrence Sunday School Class, Circle #2. She also volunteered at the Toccoa Soup Kitchen for a number of years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Frank Y. Edmonds in 2018.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. Thomas (Cindy) Edmonds of Birmingham, Alabama, Michael (Smita) Edmonds of Westminster, South Carolina and Dr. Robert (Terry) Edmonds of Toccoa; four grandsons and two granddaughters; eight great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be Wednesday, December 15, 2021, 3 O’clock p.m. at Stephens Memorial Gardens with The Reverend Joe White officiating.
The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Wednesday from 1 p.m. until time to leave for the graveside. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.acree-davisfh.com.

Interment will be in the Stephens Memorial Gardens with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Phyllis Jean Cochran Edmonds.
