Herman Jefferson Rogers

Mr. Herman Jefferson Rogers, 88, of Gainesville passed away Monday, December 13, 2021 at his residence following an extended illness.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 16, 2021 in Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Jim Austin will officiate. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Thursday from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Born on September 22, 1933 in Gainesville, he was the son of the late William Jeff and Julie Reed Rogers. He was retired from the Grading Industry where he was self-employed. Mr. Rogers was a proud Veteran of the United States Army. Mr. Rogers was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Rogers is preceded in death by his son, Timothy Lee Rogers and daughter in law, Kathy Seabolt Rogers.

Mr. Rogers is survived by his sons and daughters in law, Jimmy and Margaret Rogers of Gainesville, Greg and Donna Rogers of Gainesville; grandchildren, Jennifer Rogers, Anna Rogers, Andrew Rogers, Aundrea McLawhorn, Brandy Lowery, Kevin Rogers, Justin Rogers, Tyler Rogers; 9 great-grandchildren;

sister, Janice Spain of Gainesville; brother, Ray Rogers of Gainesville; sister, Vivian Epperson of Gainesville; brother, Larry Rogers of Gainesville; special friend, Joan Wells and a number of nieces, nephews and other loving relatives.
