Mickey Farmer

Mr. Mickey Farmer, 73, of Gainesville passed away Saturday, December 11, 2021 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center Gainesville Campus.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 16, 2021 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Mark Spence will officiate. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 15th from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Born on August 20, 1948 in Gainesville, he was the son of the late Pete and Rosemary Farmer.  Mr. Farmer was a self-employed Auctioneer. Mr. Farmer was a proud veteran of the United States Merchant Marines and a member of Dewberry Baptist Church # 2. He had been a member of Talmo Baptist Church for many years. He never met a stranger and was loved by so many. He loved his horses and his motorcycles.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Farmer is preceded in death by his wife, June Clark Farmer and brother, Terrell “Rabbit” Farmer.

Mr. Farmer is survived by his daughters, Kelli Davidson of Flowery Branch, Wendy Truelove of Gainesville; special friend Lesa Hartley of Gainesville; grandchildren, Zack Davidson (Michelle), Chelsey Truelove; great grandson, Ethan Davidson; brother, Rex Farmer (Rachel); sister, Mary Ann Farmer; sister in law, Ann Farmer and a number of other loving relatives.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to GERL, Georgia Equine Rescue League, 61 Mechannon Rd. SE Bethlehem, GA 30620
