Vonne Jean King

Mrs. Vonne Jean King, age 85 of Clermont, passed away on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday, December 12, 2021 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.  Reverend Drewery Loggins will officiate.  The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 12, 2021 from 12:00 noon – 2:00 pm, prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. King was born February 28, 1936 in Blakely, Georgia to the late William Floyd and Irene Winsor Floyd.  She was retired from Fieldale Farms and was a member of Free Chapel Worship Center.  Vonne was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Randy Gowan; spouse, James Cranford and brother, William Eddie Floyd.

Mrs. King is survived by her children, Drucilla & Ray McDougald of Statham, Georgia, Dwight & Cindy King of Commerce, Danny Gowan of Athens, Carol & Wayne Patterson of Clermont, Cathy Cranford of Jefferson; 21 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren and sister, Joann Goforth of Albany, Georgia.

The family would like to thank the Doctors, Nurses and all the Staff of New Horizon’s Nursing Home for the loving care they provided to Mrs. King.
