Mrs. Ashley Diane Dunne Burt was born on November 18, 1995, and went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on December 2, 2021. Ashley was saved at a morning revival service at Cavender’s Creek Baptist Church on July 29, 2010. She joined the church and was baptized on September 12, 2010, and was active in the youth group at Cavender’s Creek. Her favorite Bible verse was Revelation 21:4. Ashley attended Lumpkin County High School. She was very artistic and loved sculpting, painting, and calligraphy. Her great-grandmother Martha taught her how to knit and crochet. She also loved learning to cook for her family and making outfits and dressing up her daughter. Ashley was deeply loved and will be forever missed.
She is survived by her husband, Dylan Burt, son Joseph Dunne, and daughter Hailey Burt of Douglasville; mother Casie Head of Newborn, GA; father Ryan Dunne of Tennessee; grandparents Will and Kay Dunne of Missouri; grandmother Gail Head, great-grandmother Martha Head, and sister Jazmine Davis all of Dahlonega; and half-brother Drake Dunne of Dawsonville. Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.
Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, December 11, 2021, at 2:00 PM at Cavender’s Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Stephen Adams officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, December 10, 2021, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
