William “Harrell” Colter

Mr. William “Harrell” Colter, 89, of Gainesville, passed away Monday, December 6, 2021 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center Gainesville Campus.

 Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 9, 2021 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Dr. Jim Austin and Dr. Zack Williams will officiate. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Thursday, December 9th from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m.

 Born on November 12, 1932 in Dublin, GA, he was the son of the late Odell F. Colter and the late Eloise Scarborough Colter. He was co-owner and a pharmacist at Peachtree Pharmacy. Mr. Colter was a proud veteran of the United States Army where he served as a Captain in the Medical Corp., and a member of Flat Creek Baptist Church.

Mr. Colter is survived by his wife of 64 years, Gloria Colter of Gainesville; sons and daughters in law, Robert Russell and Theresa Colter of Gainesville, Glenn Darrell and Christina Colter of Cadwell, GA; son, John Odell “Jody” Colter and Nita Reed of Gainesville; grandchildren, Tess Agudelo (Jhonathan), Meagan Colter, William Lee Colter, Joshua Colter and great-grandchild, Aubree Rose Agudelo.
