Robert Doss Hall, Jr.

Obituary Date: Friday, December 3, 2021

Robert Doss Hall Jr. ( Affectionately known as ‘Buddy’), was born on September 30, 1941, in Nashville, TN to Edith Alberta Thompson and Robert Doss Hall Sr.

As a child he lived in San Antonio, New Orleans, and Miami before moving back to Nashville where he graduated from high school in 1959 and began working. He joined the Air National Guard and served for four years as a weatherman. He returned to Nashville, where he worked for a local bank, Purina Mills, and Star Chrysler car dealership. In 1969, he married SandraBelle Hendrickson in Nashville and they moved to the quaint little town of Goodlettsville, TN.

Buddy became a dad in May of 1973 with the birth of his daughter Sybil Louise Hall. He attended Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Goodlettsville with his family. In late 1979, he and his family moved to Gainesville, Ga to work at the Purina Mills Feedmill as their controller. He retired from Purina after a fulfilling career. Bored with retirement, he went on to become a school bus driver for the County schools. He enjoyed driving the bus and the kids referred to him as ‘Mr. Buddy’. He retired from driving the bus a couple of years ago.

Buddy celebrated his 50th Golden anniversary with Sandra, which is a huge milestone. Buddy was a faithful “member” of Trinity Presbyterian Church for 42 years. He was an avid fisherman

and reader. He loved his family, his church, travelling, good BBQ, a good beer, and sailing the ocean blue.Buddy passed away, Wednesday, December 1st, 2021, due to pneumonia. +

He is survived by his daughter, Sybil Hall-Beheler; son-in-law- Tony Beheler; grandson-Joshua Beheler, and Buster, his cantankerous but so loveable dog.
