Major Willis Lee Jones

Major Willis Lee Jones, USAF, Retired, 96, passed away Tuesday, November 23, 2021.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 5, 2021 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Dr. Robert P. Jolly will officiate. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Sunday from 1:30 p.m. until 2:45 p.m.

Born on May 29, 1925 in Farmville, NC, he was the son of the late Joseph A. and Nora Spikes Jones. Major Jones was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. He retired from the FAA as Division Chief in St. Petersburg, FL.

In addition to his parents, Major Jones is preceded in death by his spouse, Hester K. Jones; sister, Anne Sanders and brother, James Jones.

Major Jones is survived by his son, Ronnie L. Jones of Temple, GA; son and daughter in law, Willis L. and Sue Jones, II; daughter and son in law, Sandra H. and Michael Emmett of Cumming; 5 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren and a host of other family members.
