Margaret Ellen Stockdale

Dr. Margaret Ellen Stockdale, age 71 of Mountain View Drive, Toccoa passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, November 21, 2021.

A daughter of the late Earl E. Stockdale and Leora Florence Pocock Stockdale, she was born July 4, 1950 in Mobile, Alabama.  She had lived in many different places and was living in Florida before moving to Toccoa in 2005.  She was employed with the Stephens County School System as a Second Grade Teacher.  After her retirement, she did volunteer work at Liberty Elementary helping kids with their reading.  She was a member of the First Alliance Church of Toccoa.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include a sister, Patricia Sproull of Toccoa; two brothers, Clyde E. Stockdale of Toccoa and Earl W. Stockdale of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas.

A memorial service is planned for Thursday, December 2, 2021, 6 O’clock p.m. at the First Alliance Church of Toccoa with The Reverend Brian Rockwell officiating.
