Thomas “Tom” Ervin Winter

Thomas “Tom” Ervin Winter, age 69, of Suwanee, GA passed away on Tuesday, November 16, 2021. He was preceded in death by parents, Warden Curtis and Myrtle Winter and sisters, Trisha Martenn and Nancy Fair. Mr. Winter is survived by children, Chante Winter and Reid Irwin of Buford, GA Thomas Jason Winter of Johns Creek, GA, Candice Nicole and Jarod Kent of Buford, GA; the love of his life, Rita Salenius of Johns Creek; brother, Johnny Winter (Lynn) of McDonough, GA; sisters, Carolyn Hawkins (Carol) of McDonough; Susie Garner of Conyers, GA; five grandchildren, Cooper Irwin, Chase Irwin, Cade Irwin, Cruze Kent, and Easton Kent. Tom was best known for owning and operating Atlanta Paint & Body Shop in Atlanta back in the 70’s to early 90’s. He went on to start multiple businesses and successful construction companies.  Tom enjoyed listening to Bob Seger, cooking, decorating his home, being involved in projects and traveling with loved ones. He loved his family tremendously and was very proud of all of them.  A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 27, 2021 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Ruby Forest Clubhouse, 35 ruby Forest Parkway, Suwanee, GA  30024.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hope thru Soap at hopethrusoap.org
