Gloria 'Ann' Strickland

Mrs. Gloria “Ann” Strickland age 75 of Gainesville, passed away on Friday November 12, 2021 at her residence following a sudden illness.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday November 14, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Scott Strickland will officiate. The family will receive friends on Sunday November 14, 2021 from 12:00-3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Ann was born on July 29, 1946 in Gainesville, GA to the late William Ernest Martin and Haroldine Little Martin. She was a child care provider and was known as “Granny Annie” to many. Ann was a member of Central Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Donald J. Strickland, and brother-in-law, Ron Strickland.

Mrs. Strickland is survived by her companion, Mitchell Denton of Commerce, Ga, her sons and daughters-in-laws, Scott and Wendi Strickland of Homer, Ga, Sterling and April Strickland of Gainesville, Ga, grandchildren, Shelby Funderburk, Whitney Marchbanks, Sidney Strickland, Shawn Strickland, Bailey Strickland, Eli Parker, Will Strickland, Ethan Parker, Brian Strickland, Haley- Lynn Strickland,  6 great-grandchildren, brother and sister-in-law, Todd and Susan Martin of Homer, Ga, sister and brother-in-law, Rita and Tim Chaisson of Pell City, Alabama, brother, Tracy Martin of Cornelia, Ga, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bob and Shirley Strickland of Knoxville, TN, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Tom and Joyce Strickland, sister-in-law, Martha Strickland of Carrolton, Ga, and a host of nieces, nephews and other close family and friends.
