Mrs. Vivian Ayers Norris, age 92 of Old Liberty Road, Westminster, South Carolina passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at her residence.
A daughter of the late Almon and Rachel Holbrooks Ayers, she was born March 24, 1929 in Baldwin, Georgia having lived most of her life in Oconee County, South Carolina. She was retired from Jantzen Company in Westminster and was a member of Old Union Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bud Norris in 1977, by a daughter, Delores Cawthon, three sons-in-law, Ronnie Cawthon, Ricky Burnside and Eddie Crooks, three grandchildren and five siblings, Helen McCracken, Clarence Ayers, J.D. Shedd, Jean Thomas and Francis Budd.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Marilyn Norris of Martin, Georgia and Gary and Martha Norris of Westminster; three daughters and son-in-law, Carol Burnside, Maca Crooks and Dale and Rick Crooks all of Westminster; eight grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren; two brothers, Billy Shedd of Cornelia and Junior Virgil Shedd of Westminster; sister, Ann Sloan of Greenville.
Funeral services will be Thursday, November 11, 2021, 2 O’clock p.m. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Brian Pulliam officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Bradley Cawthon, Brian Cawthon, Michael Burnside, Scottie Elrod, Pee Wee Norris and Jamie Norris.
The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Wednesday, 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Thursday, noon until the service time. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.acree-davisfh.com.
Interment in the Old Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Vivian Ayers Norris.
