James Kip Smith

Mr. James Kip Smith, age 56, of Carnesville passed away Thursday, Nov. 4, 2021 at Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center.  Mr. Smith was born in Decatur to Jimmy Smith of Gainesville and the late, Faye Burnette Fitzpatrick.  Mr. Smith was a lineman for the IBEW.

In addition to his father, Mr. Smith is also survived by his son, Jesse Smith of Carnesville; sisters, Teri Hardy of Athens and Donna Ott of Commerce; brother, Todd Smith of Braselton; step-father, Aubrey Fitzpatrick of Commerce; nieces, Jordan Hewell and Kortni Seaton; nephews, Halton Hardy and Nic Ott.

Memorial services will be at 2 PM, Sunday, November 14 at the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with Rev. Rodney Wilbanks officiating.  The family will receive friends Sunday from 1 PM until service time at the funeral home.
