Donna Suzanne Weaver Aldea

Donna Suzanne Weaver Aldea died on 11/04/2021, at Seasons Hospice, in Cumming, GA.

Sue was born at home on March 28, 1941, in Cartecay, a suburb of Ellijay, Georgia. She was the second of seven children born to Bernard Weaver and Brader Chastain. Sue was a lot like her mother, Brader, loving to laugh and play jokes. Family was always very important to her. Her family and friends always called her Sue until the early 1990s when she began introducing herself as Donna. Sue was an excellent tennis player, active in ALTA competitions; however, Donna did not play so much. As Sue or Donna, she was a delightful person to know, and maintained long-term friendships. Donna’s last job was a Senior Executive Administrative Assistant for the director of the research department at Ciba Vision. She retired in 2006 and focused on her cats and visiting her family both here and in Barcelona, Spain.

Donna Sue is survived by her siblings: June Waddell, Louie Weaver, Larry Weaver, Linda Finn, Deborah Wheelus and Lisa Kukla. Donna Sue also leaves two sons, Jeffrey Johnson and Neal Johnson plus two she acquired by marriage, Bruce Aldea and David Aldea. In addition, she has four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and their children.

Memorial services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday November 13, 2021 in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM prior to the service.
