Dr. Lee Hayes Rogers, 68, of Flowery Branch, died on Thursday, November 4, 2021.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 13, at 1 PM at Chestnut Mountain Presbyterian Church, 4675 Winder Highway, Flowery Branch, GA 30542. Pastors Jim Bland and Scott Bull will officiate. Masks required.
Lee was born on October 10, 1953 in Macon, Georgia to Harold Hayes and his late wife, Gini. She is survived by her husband, Ronald Rogers, whom she married on September 8, 1973. Lee graduated from Stratford Academy and Georgia State University. She went on to earn her PhD in Psychology from Georgia State and counseled patients as a psychologist for over 25 years.
Lee attended Grace Community Church in Buford, Georgia, and she volunteered with Beautiful Feet, a ministry to victims of commercial sexual exploitation. Lee loved to water ski and scuba dive, and she traveled all over the world, including mission trips to Russia and Jordan.
Lee also was loved by her daughter, Hope Rogers, her brother, Danny (Bonnie) Hayes, and her sister, Holly (Richard) Holder, as well as her aunt Dolores (Donald) Burkhalter, her uncle, Wayne (Linda) Kell, and numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews
