Juana María Gonzales passed away peacefully on November 3 surrounded by her family in Lawrenceville, Georgia.
Juana was born in Pisco, Peru on November 29, 1928. Juana lived most of her life in Bre?a, Peru before relocating to the United States. Juana had an implacable ability to make everyone feel loved. To many she was known as Señora Juanita, but to her grandkids she was known as Abuelita or Mama Juanita. She found happiness in her daily activities, and her pleasant personality was contagious to everyone she met. Juana loved spending time in the kitchen, creating delicious Peruvian meals for her family, and caring for others above herself. She also was a devoted Catholic who loved the Lord.
Juana was preceded in death by her beloved husband Enrique Gonzales, her parents Juan Echevarria and Maria Martinez, her brothers Alejandro Echevarria, Victor Castro and her sister Yolanda Castro.
Juana is survived by her 8 children, Enrique Gonzales of Peachtree, Georgia, Gloria Reed of Davenport, Florida, Guido Gonzales of Lawrenceville, Georgia, Rita Caro of Lima, Peru, Johnny Gonzales of Lawrenceville, Georgia, Maritza Valentin of New Braunfels,Texas, Alejandro Gonzales of Norcross, Georgia and Jacques Gonzales of Elizabeth, New Jersey. Juana also has 17 grandkids and 17 great grandkids that she adored.
Juana will be honored in a celebration of life service on November 5, 2021. Visitation hours are from 5– 8pm.
