Evon Barbara Olivier

The incomparable Evon Barbara Olivier was born to Augustus and Milethea Durieux on May 29, 1930, in Moricribo Venezuela. Her parents relocated the family to Trinidad & Tobago in 1933.

Evon left Trinidad & Tobago and moved to New York in 1955. She met and married Desmond Olivier in October 1957. During their union they had three children: Alison, Laurence, and Bertin.

Evon worked as a Nursing Assistant for 30 years at St. Mary Hospital in Brooklyn, NY. After 30 years of distinguished service, Evon retired in 1993 and moved to Weston Florida with her husband. She resided there until 2014 and then moved to Jonesboro, GA.

Evon was called home to be with the lord on Friday, October 22, 2021. She leaves to continue her legacy with one sister Vilma Durieux of Coral Springs Florida, daughter Alison Holloway of Buford GA, two sons Laurence Olivier (Marsha Olivier) of Brooklyn, NY, and Bertin Olivier of Elmont, NY. She also leaves to continue her legacy; five grandchildren, Danielle Holloway, Marcelin Holloway, Brittany Olivier, Nichelle Olivier, Lauren Parker Olivier; six great-grandchildren; Tyler Henderson, Brieile Vaughn,Ari Vaughn, Marcelin Liam Holloway, Chase Holloway, Malia Holloway and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and friends that reside all over the world.
