Samuel Moore Henry

Mr. Samuel Moore Henry, age 65, of Gainesville passed away on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at home surrounded by his family.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, October 31, 2021 at Chestnut Mountain Church. Pastors Brian Hall and Jared Cagle will officiate with interment following at Memorial Park South Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Saturday, October 30, 2021 at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.

Mr. Henry was born December 15, 1955 in Gainesville, Georgia to Doris Henry Fosnocht & the late Glen Henry. He was a retired Physical Education Teacher at Chicopee Woods Elementary School and a member of Chestnut Mountain Church. Sam loved his family, church, fishing, and sports photography.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Henry of Gainesville, GA; Daughter & Son-in-law, Anna Kathryn & Gabriel Hackney of Lincoln, AL; Son & Daughter-in-law, Christopher & Morgan Henry of Hoschton, GA; Son, Isaac Henry of Gainesville, GA; Grandchildren, Evelyn Hackney, Jordan Hackney, & Ava Hackney of Lincoln, AL and Hartley Henry of Hoschton, GA; mother, Doris Fosnocht of Gainesville; Brothers, Fred Henry of Gainesville, GA and Tom and Tad Henry of Birmingham, AL.
