Lola Mae Baggett Boyd

Lola Mae Baggett Boyd, age 90, of Buford, GA passed away on Friday, October 22, 2021.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, W. T. Boyd and Robert Sam Baggett; parents, Buck and Odessa Bullock Samples; son, Harold Baggett; grandson, Chris Baggett; and daughter-in-law, Vickie Baggett. Mrs. Boyd is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Clarence and Sherlon Baggett, Buford, GA and Gene Baggett, Buford, GA; daughter-in-law, Linda Lewis Baggett, Dacula, GA; grandchildren, Steve and Jennifer Baggett, Karen Tench, Michael and Marie Baggett, Brady and Brandy Cook, Melissa and Jason Hornstein, Amanda Baggett, Casey Baggett, Trevor and Jessica Moore and Tiffany Moore and Brian Wilson; sister, Martha Givens, Flowery Branch, GA; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Nellie Samples, Cumming, GA, Shirley Samples, Dawsonville, GA and Patsy and Emory Samples, Buford, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mrs. Boyd was born September 12, 1931 in Rochelle, Wilcox County, GA. She was retired from Gwinnett County School System in food service and she also worked for Hardee’s in Lawrenceville, GA. Mrs. Boyd was a member of Ivy Creek Baptist Church for sixty-eight years.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 25, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Ivy Creek Baptist Church with Dr. Jim Ferguson and Dr. Craig Dale officiating. Interment will follow in Ivy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Buford, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, October 24, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.
