James C. Blankenship

James C. Blankenship, 89, of Snellville, GA passed away Wednesday, October 20, 2021.

He is survived by his wife of thirty-two years, Hortense Chadwick Blankenship of Snellville, GA; sister, Ethie Mae Bailey of Cornelia, GA; sister-in-law, Geneva Conn of Orlando, FL; step sons, Barry Martin (Katherine) of Gilbert, SC, Teddy Martin of California, and Larry Van Martin of Woodstock, GA; grandchildren, Kathy Metts (Tiger), and Robbie Cockrell (Melissa).

Mr. Blankenship was born August 18, 1932 in Snellville, GA, and was a graduate of Bethesda School. He was retired from Kraft Foods after 32 1/2 years, and also retired from Gwinnett County after 15 ½ years in the maintenance department. Mr. Blankenship was a member of Corinth Baptist Church in Loganville, GA.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 pm Sunday, October 24, 2021 in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home. Rev. Tommy Foskey will officiate. Interment will follow in Broadlawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Flanigan Funeral Home, Sunday, October 24 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm.
