Obituary Date: Friday, October 22, 2021

Gary R. “Randy” Isner, Jr, 60, of Dawsonville passed away Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at Northside Hospital Forsyth following a sudden illness.

Randy was born April 9, 1961 in Cumberland, Maryland. He was raised in West Virginia until 1972 when his family moved to Central Florida. While growing up in Central Florida, Randy enjoyed playing, coaching, and umpiring Little League. When Randy was in high school he played football and baseball. He loved to talk about his days as a catcher for Oviedo High School’s baseball team. He graduated from Oviedo High School in 1979.

Randy enjoyed working for Publix Supermarkets for 22 years. After retiring from Publix, he and his wife, Lori Dudley Isner and two children, Craig and Paige moved to Dawsonville, GA. He began working for Northeast Sales Distributing, Inc in 2001. He was an Area Sales Manager for the Wine Division. He remained a part of the Northeast family until his passing. Randy was known for his strong work ethic, integrity, and his ability to work with and train people. And he loved to talk about a good glass of wine.

His family was his greatest joy. He was a wonderful, caring husband to Lori for 33 years. He was involved in his children’s activities all through school. He never missed a ball game or school event for Craig or Paige. He was so proud of all their accomplishments. He was known for his kindness, always being happy and smiling, and no matter what, he was up for a good “Dad Joke”. In his downtime, Randy enjoyed working in his yard, watching College football, the Atlanta Braves, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and following Chase Elliott in NASCAR.

Randy was a member of Church of God, a Worldwide Association (COGWA) and he and his wife attended the Jefferson, GA Congregation. He truly enjoyed fellowshipping and his bible studies. He has many friends and church family that will miss him dearly.
